Are you at a point you want to actively meet up with people or are you at a point where you want to stay at home and make excuses not to meet up with people?
I’ve been there. Just can’t face people but the longer I left it, the worse it got. I made myself do it in the end with mates I felt the least awkward with & even though I nearly cancelled several times & was bricking it, i ended up having a good night. I had a few pints but didn’t go nuts because I was still on edge about going proper out out. It def helped though & I’ve been out a cpl of times now. It is like riding a bike mate
Are you still there mate? I've got to shoot off in a minute for a bit but i'm following your post. Just take it from me that things can & DO get better. It does take a bit of effort sometimes though. I don't know where you live but might be worth seeing what local things go on because you'd be shocked at the amount of lads that are struggling now. Try & keep your mind as busy as possible because its when its not busy that the shitty thoughts come. It's gonna be OK mate. We all go through times like this but its true, they are what make you stronger. Keep fighting on & come back if you want to talk again
Did you feel like this before Covid? It really fucked me up tbh. I have lost so much confidence in the past 2.5 years that I dont recognise myself half the time but I am slowly getting there & you can too mate. If it wasnt Covid, do you know what sparked it off?
Is there anyone at work that you think you might get on with if you went out for a drink? Have you hinted to anyone that you're struggling but they haven't got it?

How long have you been dealing with this on your own?
